Everything, Here, All at Once​

OK, envision a Venn diagram (the one with two or more overlapping circles).

SBC (Suzanne Brick Consulting) is one circle. SBSF (SB Success Factor) is another circle.

In terms of what SBC and SBSF do/produce and who they serve — the two circles overlap a little. And someone that starts on Team SBSF might switch to Team SBC (and back again) at some point. There’s potential for it to be a bit fluid….

On the SBC side is bespoke freelancing and consulting that’s mostly focused on marcom (e.g., copywriting, content management, etc.) for small-to-medium businesses and agencies. These clients are typically somewhat established, already understand the value of robust marcom, and have steady revenue (i.e., They can afford to outsource.) SBC does a mix of done-for-you (DFY) and done-with-you (DWY) work on retainer or project bases.

SBSF, on the other hand, has a broader and more holistic scope that encompasses themes and topics (e.g., business communications or project management) that are of interest to small businesses and entrepreneurs. The mission is to provide information and resources that are accessible to bizzes of any size or stage of development. SBSF accomplishes this by creating or sharing content, digital products, events, and other offerings. This is more of a 1:Many model, so lots of DIY with some DWY sprinkled in.

The bit where the SBC and SBSF circles intersect and overlap is where the DWY stuff exists. But really, the circles have kind of fuzzy edges and the work can sometimes bleed together. Sometimes small biz is messy, y’all!

Anyway, the main takeaways are that I help small and medium businesses accomplish things they need done so they can more readily find their “success”. They have a spectrum of options — 1-on-1 engagements or participating in a group setting, DFY-DWY-DIY, etc.
