The BBB is intended to be a more immersive event than a regular Bundle or Summit. It’s an expo with exhibitor booths, a main stage presentation area, and more. Contributors are the exhibitors and can include a variety of things in their booth space: products, links, live office hours, demos, etc.

This expo is free to explore, but each booth in the Market Hall may showcase stuff that costs money. But, the offers are deeply discounted (at least 50% discount on the regular retail price) and/or have some other kind of epic deal that isn’t available elsewhere (like special bonuses). And if you “haggle” with the Contributor, you just might get an additional sumpin’-sumpin’ tossed in!

The Redemption Window for this Event is short by design.

  • It’s a small Event. People should be able to explore/opt into stuff quickly.
  • We want folx to take action — actually listen to presentations, claim and use resources, etc.

Unlike most other SBSF Events, you are required to promote the BBB during its Waitlist period. This will be your main (solo) promo. Your second promo will be during the Open Cart period. (This should be a really interesting and unique Event, so you may want your second promo to be a solo as well.)

  • Theme: Connect and exchange. Explore opportunities and options. Markets, shuks, bazaars, faires.
  • Audience: Action-oriented small biz folx who’re actively seeking shortcuts and streamlining. They want to grow their awareness, knowledge, skills, and capacity. They’re ready to discover ways to establish, grow, and/or improve their businesses.
  • # Contributors: 20ish.
  • Expected Reach: TBD
  • Summit Format:
    • My goal is to host the BBB on GoBrunch (aff link) bc it’s a platform that allows me to create an immersive environment for this Event. Contributors will get a tour/orientation in advance of the opening of the expo.udio-only, on-demand presentations. Doing the BBB on GoBrunch is a stretch goal for me as this is a new Event and I haven’t done anything like this on GB before.
    • If GB is a no-go, the BBB will be hosted on a TIDY combo of ThriveCart Learn, Airtable, Softr, and the SBSF Facebook group.
  • Structure: Each Contributor will have their own “booth.” In your booth, you can have up to three separate offers. Your freebie/lead magnet/opt-in must be one of them. You’ll have the ability to be live in your stall so you can interact with shoppers.
  • Event Cost: Free access to Market Hall; each Contributor sets their own offer prices.
  • Event Funnel: Bumps will prob be: Resource Tracker ($2), Undated This Year in Biz Planner & Tracker ($6), and Vision Board Blitz ($8). There will be an Upsell/OTO to my membership, Smart Start Content Club, and my Marketing Comms Scorecard as a tripwire ($8) as part of the Event Sign-Up success page/email confirmation sequence. So, plenty of opps for you to earn some commissions if you sign up to be an Affiliate!
  • Contributor Cost: It’s free to participate as a Contributor. No chip-in fees or anything.
  • Differentiators/Value Props: This will be a unique experience — both for Contributors and Subscribers! We’ll have a special “Market Hall” and each Contributor will have their own “booth” where they can show their wares and connect with shoppers. I may add some pre-events or resources to facilitate this new format. Additionally, there may be some live events (AMAs, co-working, demos, etc.) during the Open Cart period. Details TBD — but this will be a stand-out Event!
    • Small, manageable collection of bite-sized, laser-focused, and actionable Contributors/offers — designed for quick implementation and incremental-yet-meaningful results fast.
    • Guided prompts and engagement opps in the SBSF Facebook community.
    • I may add in a bingo or scavenger hunt element to this Event during the Open Cart period to boost engagement and connection. More details to come.

Your Bazaar Booth (aka Contributions) (Required)

Hold onto your hair and get ready to be creative! While you’re required to all of the following elements, what you do is up to you.

  • Interactive Element:
    • This can be a short (eg, 5 mins or less) pre-recorded demo, tour, presentation, podcast episode, micro-tutorial. Or it can be a live Q&A/AMA type thing. Or it could be live co-working or chats with guests to your booth.
    • Your booth set-up will be designed to accommodate your interactive element. eg, If you’re showing a video, there’ll be a video player front and center. If you’re doing an AMA, the chat box will be the focal point.
    • Even if you’re doing a pre-recorded thing, I strongly encourage you to have some “office hours” during the Event, like 30-60 mins each day (or just some days) that you’re hanging out in your booth to engage in real time with visitors. Your office hours are something we can schedule in advance and promote. They may draw people in!
  • Freebie:
    • This is a FREE resource. It cannot be something you sell anywhere. It must be a $0 lead magnet.
    • Your opt-in is your pathway to collecting leads.
    • Your freebie can have bumps, tripwires, upsells, downsells, cross-sells, etc.
    • Your freebie will be featured in your booth as well as in the Event swag bag and Resources Tracker.
  • Bonus Offer(s): You may feature up to two Bonus Offers in your booth.
    • Your Bonus Offer should be a paid offer for an item you sell. The goal of your Bonus Offer is to provide a clear, easy next step for event-goers to progress in their journey with you and your biz. Bonus Offers are intended to start establishing a value-for-money exchange.
    • Because this is intended to be a stepping stone into the world of your paid offers, a lower-ticket (sub-$200?) offer is probably best. (People are unlikely to go from grabbing freebies to dropping $1,000s on a program straightaway….)
    • Your Bonus Offer must include a 50%-75% off discount.
    • You may also offer a free bonus or some other special enticement event-goers won’t find elsewhere.
    • Discounts and extra buyers’ perks must be something that YOU can fulfill directly.
    • Bumps, tripwires, upsells, downsells, cross-sells, etc. are allowed.
    • Haggling Bonus: Consider offering something extra to shoppers who “haggle” (aka connect with you live in the Market Hall or do some specific action — e.g., DM or follow you on IG, comment on a blog post, sign up to your email list and reply with a magic word, etc.). I encourage you to set this up so that it’s automated — e.g., using tags or ManyChat. The haggling bonus can be delivered with/as a part of or after the purchase of a Bonus Offer. But, this is something YOU must be able to fulfill without MY involvement.
    • Your Bonus Offers will be featured in your booth as well as in the Event swag bag and Resources Tracker.
  • Contribution Category: Any, but your items should address the needs — functions and activities commonly faced — of small businesses. Learn More
  • Contribution Requirements & Restrictions: Your Contributions:
    • Must be 99% ready when you submit your Application bc you will be asked to attach the files/landing page URLs/etc. If your Interactive Element isn’t finished or is a live thing, you’ll be able to add/update your Application later, after you’ve submitted it.
    • Contributed items/offers must be immediately available to the Subscriber.
  • Interactive Element Rights: If your Interactive Element is a pre-recorded presentation, it’s yours and you retain the IP. But, you agree to not post, publish, or otherwise sell or share the presentation until after the Bazaar is completely over. And, you agree to allow me (Suzanne Brick Consulting / SB Success Factor) to include your presentation in this Event free of charge. If, at some later date, I would like to use your presentation again (e.g., in a blog post or email newsletter), I’ll reach out.

Waitlist & Prizes

Instead of doing the uszh Waitlist Gift, I’m going to do a Waitlist Prize! Or prizes.

Anyone who signs up for the BBB during the Waitlist period will be entered into a drawing for prizes. Prizes will be items donated by us Contributors. (Contributors won’t be eligible to win.)

If you’d like to contribute to the prize vault, here are the guidelines:

  • Must be a usually-paid-for offer.
  • Must give 100% off.
  • Can’t be a trial membership.

Waitlisters will also get early Preview Access to the Event.

Remember, Waitlist promo is required — so it benefits you to donate a cool prize that you can then brag about to your peeps!

Live Event & Prizes

I may also gamify the expo itself, e.g., give prizes for people going to each booth. Like a “getting all the stamps in your passport” sort of thing.

How It’ll Work

Depending on the number and kinds of prizes, I will determine how many winners we’ll have and how to group together prizes into prize bundles (e.g., all the sales and marketing items in one basket and all the systems and tech items in another basket).

You’ll have a chance to indicate your interest in one of the limited sponsorships on the Application. If you indicate that you want to be a Sponsor, I’ll follow up with next steps.

The total number of sponsorship positions will depend on the total number of Contributors, so that we don’t have more than ~20% of Contributors as Sponsors. There will be no more than three Sponsors at each sponsorship level.
